Addiction defined.
1. Addiction is a brain disorder characterized by a loss of control. Addicts continue their use despite adverse health, social or legal consequences.
2. Compulsive behaviors despite consequence in a bid to re-experience the initial thrill or highness.
3. It is a progressive disease, with the user needing a larger quantity / frequency of substance, environment  or persons to achieve tolerance and dependency effect.

Please note, Addiction is a DISORDER not a DISEASE.
Again the personality of Addiction is NEUTRAL. Meaning you can be addicted to anything. In fact, in the general sense of the word, addiction is universal. People are addicted to things, places and feelings. So, addiction in a sense is not bad, what is wrong is what each person is addicted to. So we have Negative addictions (Rom. 7:15) and Positive addictions – (Matt. 6:33).

The Struggle for Dominance
There is a constant struggle to maintain order and balance. The negative influence and the positive influence are always in an intense struggle for dominance. Read this:

Galatians 5:16-21 (KJV)
16This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17[For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.] 18[But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.] 19[Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are ] these[; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,] 20[Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,] 21[Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told ] you[ in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.]

Addiction to vices are classified as negative. I life that is full of these negative addictive behavior is a life without boundaries. A life without respect for laws and rules. A life of unbridled attitudes, actions and affections. A life that is not sensitive to others. What we call negative addictive behaviors are therefore fruits of a life that has no respect for boundaries.

The fight for dominance and control is real and constant.

 Romans 7:15-20 (KJV)
15For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. 16[If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that ] it is[ good.] 17[Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.] 18[For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but ] how[ to perform that which is good I find not.] 19[For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.] 20[Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.]

The good news is that each of us can exercise the choice of control.
Romans 6:16 (KJV)

[Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?]

Young people love the e-world. This love eventually leads to addiction if not checked properly.
