‘Love is built. Love is raised. Love grows. Love does not happen overnight. Keep building it, keep raising it.’ (Emeka Ogbuju)
This is King size food for thought. Let’s attempt to discuss them one by one.
1. ‘Love is built’.
Building is not an event but a process. Hence we hear things like Rome was not built in a day.
What things go into building?
Foundation – I think the foundation of love is the purity of it. Love has to start PURE! or it’s not love. The foundation of a building takes more & takes time. You need to take time to decide if You are prepared to invest in the love venture you want to start.
The building blocks – This involves accurate laying of blocks upon one another until you reach your desired level. The building blocks of love are giving and forgiving. Are you prepared to supply these building blocks?
?The roof caps the building for inhabiting – The roof of love I would say is your determination under all circumstances to remain in love just like the roof stays there come rain, come shine, come storm, come whatever…!
2. Love is raised
This is an agric term that describes the planting of seed or stem and providing every condition required to make it germinate and grow out of the ground to a level that it is able to stand & grow to maturity before being transplanted to permanent field. This is done in the nursery. Like I said, the raiser or farmer provides everything required to succeed. Love is raised!
In raising love, practice 1 Cor 13:4-7
“Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.”
Raise love also with Rom 12:9-10.
“Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another”
?3. Love grows
Growth is a direct reflection of nutrition. Good nutrition translates to good growth. Feed love with the necessary nutrition & watch it grow!
Love nutrition include:
Remember, Love does not happen overnight, So Keep building it, Keep raising it! May God grant us the grace to raise & nurture Love to maturity.
